Our Mission:

• Born on the Yampa River in the mountains of Steamboat Springs, Colorado we want to INSPIRE you to spend more time fishing. We CREATE innovative fly fishing products designed by real fishermen who are committed to helping PROTECT our rivers while improving your fishing experience.

Who we are?

Yampa Gear is nestled alongside the Continental Divide at an elevation of 6,732 feet in the city of Steamboat Springs, Colorado. Here in Northwest Colorado, we test our products in our own backyard on the Yampa River, one of the last free-flowing rivers in the West. After countless hours on the water, we recognized the importance of having the most functional gear, but none of the products on the market had the quality or features we wanted.

With years of experience learning what works and what doesn’t work, we have designed our gear to be the most functional and highest-quality fly fishing products in the industry.

Designing and testing our gear on the 250 mile-long free-flowing Yampa River has inspired us to protect our pristine waterways. Yampa Gear donates a portion of sales to impactful conservation groups annually.
